John & Margaret Antonino

The history and tradition of  Valley Steel Construction began in 1948 when John Antonino and his wife, Margaret, established a construction company to serve the needs of the San Joaquin Valley.  Founded upon hard work and the dedication to quality and service, the Antonino’s developed Valley Steel Construction into a company that has spanned over 60 years of operation, yielding great success and accomplishments in communities throughout the state of California.

Headquartered in Bakersfield, California,  Mr. Antonino pioneered the application of pre engineered building systems as building solutions and emerged as one of the largest distributors for the Butler Manufacturing Company, the premier manufacturer of pre-engineered building components in the United States.  Mr. Antonino was also an innovator and early adopter of hybrid building where he merged methods and materials of conventional construction with pre engineered metal building systems.

The Antoninos took pride in giving back to the community they helped build.  They recognized that the community is the end user of their work, so the philosophy of giving back was a core value of their company.  Today, newer generations of the Antonino family continue the same dedication and compassion to every community in which it does business.
